Spanish Corporate Translations
English speaking Companies that can accommodate Spanish corporate translations will be that much closer to a multinational presence. For businesses, being understood by their target customers serves as a foundation for growth. It naturally follows, of course, that you’ll need effective translation if you want to be understood by people speaking a different language. Moreover, it’s not just about the target market; to ensure smooth operations, the understanding and awareness needs to begin within your company. Spanish, one of the worlds most used languages, is the perfect first step for companies seeking to enter a global marketplace.

To ensure that businesses maintain profitability and continue to grow, corporate translations play an important roll, particularly for those that want to expand internationally. However, even if your operations are located solely within the U. S., you will still need Spanish corporate translations. Why is this?

A Nation of Many Languages

People all over the world know that Americans primarily speak English, but the United States is also home to many large groups of people who speak different languages, including Chinese, French, Vietnamese, German, Korean, Filipino, and many more. The most notable among the non-English languages spoken in the U.S. is Spanish.

U.S. Now the Second Country with Highest Number of Spanish Speakers

A news report by The Guardian noted that the U.S. now has 41 million native Spanish speakers. Add to that the 11 million who are bilingual (mostly children of Spanish-speaking immigrants), and you have a country that has overtaken Spain to become the country with the second highest number of Spanish-speaking people. Mexico is the only country with more. The greatest concentration by state is in New Mexico (47 percent of the state’s population), followed by Texas, California, and Arizona.

The total figure (52 million) exceeded the numbers projected by experts just a few years ago. As cited by the Pew Research Center, a 2011 paper from the U.S. Census Bureau estimated that the number of Spanish speakers would be between 39 million and 43 million by 2020.

Spanish Corporate Translations – The Need for Documents in Spanish

With the numbers cited above, it’s wise for U.S. companies to adapt to these ongoing developments and prepare for more Spanish-speaking customers and employees. It is crucial to have Spanish translations of relevant documents and websites for better understanding both inside and outside the company. High-quality business translation services, like Excel Translations, become more vital even to businesses that operate only within the bounds of the country. Companies need to communicate clearly with their employees. And for potential new customers, people prefer to buy in their own language.
